Amritsar 24th Jan. 2022: A delegation of Markazi Taleemi Board along with Punjab Amir -e-Halqa met with the office bearers of SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee) on 24th Jan, 2022 at their office in Amritsar. The purpose of meeting was with regards to the report titled “Impact of Exemption under Article 15 (5) with regards to Article 21A of the Constitution of India on Education of Minority Communities” by NCPCR (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) which appeared before the public in March 2021. The report raises questions over the exemption of minority educational institutions under Section 12(1)(C) of RTE Act and argues that immunization of minority educational institutions has resulted in the violation of Article 15(5) and Article 21A of the Constitution of India.

The delegation has conveyed that, the comments and implications made in the report are misleading and appear to be of a malicious nature, particularly towards minority educational institutions.  It further added that, this is an onslaught on minorities in general and an attempt to dilute Article 29 and Article 30 of the Constitution of India.
MTB appealed the SGPC for the collaboration and suggestions in the necessary struggle against this onslaught.

After that, the team of the MTB also visited state halqa and reviewed the status of educational projects of MTB in Punjab.
