New Delhi 18th Oct, 2020: Markazi Taleemi Board (JIH), conducted an online volunteer training program for scholarships on 18th October, 2020. More than hundred volunteers participated from all over India in this program.

In his welcome address, Mr. Inamur Rahman, Asstt. Sec. MTB, outlined the objectives of the program which included training and formation of team of volunteers to work in their respective regions and help the students to apply for various scholarship schemes.

Mr. Ameen-e-Mudassar, Founder & CEO, CIGMA, gave detailed training about how to fill the national (both pre & post matric) scholarships of Govt. of India.

Mr. Thanzeel Thaha, CIGI representative gave the introduction of his organization and briefed about international scholarships.

Mr. Irshad Khan, Scholarship trainer, gave vital guidance on non-govt., semi govt., CSR funds, private agencies scholarships and international scholarships.

Mr. Aabad Khan, Educational Activist,talked about the scholarships given by Delhi state government for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Groups (DG). He briefed the participants on how to guide and help the students from EWS & DG section to take admission in good schools under RTE scheme.

He also said that it is not enough to inform the students and teachers about these scholarship programs, but also needed to help & train them in following the process properly in order to achieve their goal. He asked the participants to remain abreast with the scholarship schemes in their respective states and the avenues of support to EWS under RTE and CSR funds.

Mr. Tanveer Ahmad, Director, MTB, in his concluding remarks provided significant guidelines to make the process of help and support to the deserving students more effective and beneficial.

He said that volunteers should seek an action taken report through RTI and should know how much scholarship amounts have been disbursed and how much is returned back to the treasury in the state.

He appealed to the volunteers to persuade their respective state govt. officials & ministers to implement the government scholarship system module of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

He informed that the volunteers training program will be held from time to time to acquaint the volunteers about state scholarships, mainstream scholarship, foreign scholarship etc. He said that the dissemination of information is very important to facilitate and guide the people.

Mr. Salimullah Khan, Asstt. Sec., MTB, proposed the vote of thanks. He asked the volunteers to co-ordinate and share their information and experiences to work together to attain the best possible results of their efforts.
