FMEI Two-Day Third State Conference Concludes with Focus on Improving Educational Standards

Bidar: The Federation of Muslim Educational Institutions Karnataka (FMEI) successfully concluded its two-day Third State Conference at Shaheen Campus here. The conference saw participation from over 175 school leaders from across the state, focusing on enhancing the quality of educational institutions and their role in driving social change.

Prof. Manzoor Ahmed, former Vice Chancellor of Agra University and National President of FMEI, spoke about the importance of education in the progress of the community. “We must make every possible effort to advance in the field of education,” he said.

In his inaugural address, FMEI’s All India General Secretary, Syed Tanveer Ahmed, emphasised the need for educational institutions to go beyond academics and examinations. “Real societal change is only possible when our educational institutions connect with the community and actively work towards solving its problems,” he remarked.

Mr. Mujtaba Farooq, Trustee of the Markazi Taleemi Board and FMEI Delhi, underscored the importance of utilising time effectively. He advised school administrators to make the best use of their time and focus on holistic development to nurture children into virtuous individuals.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer, President of FMEI, Karnataka, highlighted the organisation’s vision, stating, “Our aim is not just to increase the number of educational institutions, but to transform them into model institutions that can serve as catalysts for social change.”

Prof. Mohammad Khalid Mubashiruzzafar, Registrar of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, advised institution leaders to have clear and strong plans in place. “Without strategic planning, failure is inevitable,” he cautioned.

Mohammad Abdullah Javed, Director of AJ Academy, emphasised the pivotal role of teachers in student development, saying, “A teacher should embody the teachings of the Quran and strive for the comprehensive upbringing of students through their personality.”

Dr. Mohammad Taha Mateen, Vice President of Mansoorah Educational & Welfare Trust, stressed the importance of dreaming big for transformative change. “We must dedicate our time, resources, and skills to bring about a positive change in society,” he stated.

During the closing session, Mohammed Asifuddin, General Secretary of FMEI Karnataka, presented an overview of FMEI’s initiatives and urged educational institutions to collaborate and work collectively towards shared goals.

Riaz Ahmed, Secretary of the Board of Islamic Education, provided a detailed introduction to the Islamic Education Board and its association with FMEI. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks from Mohammad Asimuddin Akhtar, followed by the presentation of mementos and certificates to all guest speakers and participants.

The event also featured welcoming remarks by Iqbal Ahmed, Treasurer of FMEI, and Haroon Badshah, Secretary of FMEI. Delegations from Telangana, Maharashtra, and Bihar were present, with new members joining FMEI during the conference. The event concluded with a presentation of FMEI’s upcoming strategic plans.

This conference marked a significant step towards strengthening the network of educational institutions and fostering a collaborative approach to uplift the quality of education and address societal issues.
